PTO Meeting Recap | July 21
The Ridgway Area PTO is excited to kick off planning for the 2026-2027 school year. Our July meeting focused on budgeting, fundraising, upcoming events, and new ways to strengthen partnerships between our schools, families, and local businesses.
Financial Update
The PTO reviewed year-end finances and approved a preliminary budget for the upcoming school year.
2025-2026 Highlights
Over $9,000 in net funds raised during the school year.
Successful fundraising events included the Book Fair, Chicken BBQ, Circus, PowerHouse Subs, and Spirit Wear.
Continued investment in teacher appreciation, student activities, classroom support, and family events.
Looking Ahead to 2026-2027
Planning is already underway for another exciting school year. Events currently on the calendar include:

Fundraising & Community Partnerships
The board discussed several new fundraising ideas while continuing its commitment to supporting local businesses whenever possible. Potential opportunities include:

Merchandise Sales
Pierogi Sale
Coffee Fundraisers
Restaurant Nights
Basket Raffles
Community Donation Campaigns
Our goal is to simplify fundraising for families while creating meaningful partnerships that benefit Ridgway students and our community.
Current Projects
The PTO is currently working on several initiatives to prepare for the new school year, including:
Launching the new PTO website
Preparing back-to-school communications
Developing teacher communication templates
Expanding PTO merchandise
Organizing volunteer opportunities
Planning teacher meet-and-greet events
Improving communication with families and the school district
Elementary Enrollment
The board reviewed current elementary enrollment and class information as planning continues for the 2026-2027 school year.
Current Elementary Enrollment: 347 Students
