Welcome Back! Here’s What’s New with the Ridgway Area PTO for 2026-2027
A new school year is here, and the Ridgway Area PTO is excited for another year of supporting our students, teachers, staff, and schools! We’ve been busy preparing for 2026-2027, and this year brings some exciting changes, including a new PTO website, new Grade-Level Class Funds, new ways to volunteer, and easier ways for families to stay connected. Whether you’ve been involved with the PTO for years or this is your first year at FSG, there’s a place for you.
We now have one online home for everything PTO! Visit RIDGWAYPTO.COM to find upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, Grade-Level Class Funds and fundraisers, teacher wish lists, PTO meeting information, spirit wear, BAND, and more. We hope the website makes it easier for families to find what they need without searching through old emails, papers, or social media posts.
New This Year: Grade-Level Class Funds
We’re partnering with FSG Elementary School on a new approach to grade-level fundraising. Each grade will have its own Class Fund and featured fundraiser, giving families a more flexible way to support student experiences while helping us reduce the number of traditional product-based fundraisers throughout the year.You’ll be able to visit your child’s grade on our website to learn about their Class Fund, upcoming fundraiser, teachers, wish lists, and ways to support them throughout the year.
Join the PTO - However It Works for You
One of our biggest goals this year is to make it easier for more families to get involved. You don’t have to attend every meeting or volunteer at every event. Have an hour? We can use you. Prefer to help from home? Have a skill you can share? Only want to help with one event? That works too. There is no minimum time commitment. Visit our Volunteer page to tell us what works for you, and we’ll help find a way for you to get involved.
Our first PTO meeting of the year will be September 9 at 7:00 PM in the FSG Cafeteria. We’re starting the year in person so everyone has an opportunity to meet, connect, ask questions, and hear about what’s ahead. Regular meetings after that will be held virtually on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. And remember - you do not have to attend PTO meetings to volunteer or be involved!
